monaMona Fazzina

Mona was born in southern India and came to the U.S. when she was 26. She enjoys working with the elderly as a physical therapist. She is also a Christian writer. Her hobbies involve reading and needlework, and she loves dogs. She has been married to David since August 2005 and she’s still amazed at how God brought them together. David is Italian and grew up in Connecticut. They reside in Colorado.

Gwen is a stay-at-home mom who lives and writes in the mountains of Ozark, Ark. Her passion is Jesus – and the family He has given her. She loves to dance with her husband Stone, catch lizards with Harper (5), read books with Grace (7) and sing songs to Adelaide (1). Gwen also holds a master’s degree in liberal arts, and enjoys teaching literature at a local university, writing for DaySpring Cards, and playing the piano at her church. Gwen is the author of a novel, Love Finds You in Romeo, Colorado, and a devotional for women, A Beautiful Life, and an upcoming book, Morning Light—A Beautiful Day, all published by Summerside Press.


Laura Johnson

Laura is a Christian Writer’s Guild Apprentice graduate and Journeyman student. In 2006, she graduated from Mid America Nazarene University with a bible and theology degree. Laura and her husband, Adam, live in small-town Kansas with big dreams about what God has in store for their future. Laura is involved in a community couples’ Bible study. She enjoys scrapbooking, reading, traveling, exploring nature, and hanging with her hubby. Her heart’s desire is to understand others and love them unconditionally. She aspires to serve God through writing. What she puts on paper is nothing without Him.

Sharon is a 56-year-old African American research professor with an M.A. in anthropology, a Ph.D. in sociology, and a certificate in the field of aging and gerontology studies. She specializes in research and writing about religion and aging. She currently has a book of meditations for mid-life women under review by Multnomah Bliss publishers.


Billy Lorne

Raised on the streets of the Bronx, Billy communicates with urgency in a no-nonsense, down-to-earth fashion in his writing and public speaking. Having grown up in the early 80s and spent some time as a professional musician, Billy writes about contemporary cultural issues (from a Christian perspective), music and aerosol art. He has created various Latin and reggae music groups to outreach in low-income areas and has played on worship teams at church. Billy desires nothing more than to see lives lived for Christ. Honest almost to a fault, Billy brings truth, passion and integrity to all he does. He is married to Christina and has two daughters, Yesenia and Rhiannon. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing drums and growing closer with his wife.

AmyAmy Morrison

Graduating from college with a degree in language arts education, Amy went searching for a meaningful way to live out her Christian faith (while having a little adventure as well). Her search led to a mission school in inner-city Los Angeles where she spent six years teaching middle school students how to communicate effectively through writing and drama. The adventure broadened when she met her husband and forever-best-friend and they accepted the call to assist a ministry in South Africa with writing and administration. Seven years, and three kids later, they have now returned to the States where Amy continues to search for meaningful ways to live a life of faith – and have even more adventures.

Chris & ChitelChitel Pierre

Raised by loving, hard-working parents with two brothers and one sister, Chitel grew up outside of Toronto, Ontario. Shortly after beginning College in her early twenties, Chitel felt the calling of Christ. She attributes her achievements, character and open heart to the Lord and the family that she has been given by the grace of God. At 24, Chitel ran into a kindergarten schoolmate from 19 years earlier. As God would have it, she married him. Chitel and Chris own a doing real estate photography business. They have a dog named Coco and look forward to having children one day. Chitel’s passions include deepening her walk with the Lord, understanding her purpose and overcoming weaknesses. Jessica Smith

Jessica was raised in Littleton, Colo., and at the age of 17 moved to Oklahoma to attend college. Graduating with a B.S. in pastoral ministry, she went on to receive a master’s degree in urban ministry from Southwestern Graduate School. During this time, she met and married her husband Greg Smith, and together pastored a small church in southern North Carolina. Currently, she is in Oklahoma at Southern Nazarene University working with the McNair Scholars Program and as a pastoral counselor for Merry Heart Guidance Center. Jessica enjoys the creative side of life, writing, reading, drawing and the outdoors. She attends Cathedral of Praise Church in Oklahoma City, where she and Greg help lead the college and career groups.

Shellie is a woman who knows what it’s like to have sex outside of purpose and live with the oftentimes unpredictable consequences. In 2004, she penned the memoir, Inside of Me: Lessons of Lust, Love and Redemption, now in its second printing. In it, she coined the phrase, “sexual misuse”, which she defines as sex outside of God’s intention (marriage). Today, Shellie devotes her time to helping young women on the path to sexual and relational wholeness. She is the teen mom coordinator for Nashville Youth for Christ, a feature blogger/public speaker for (an online ministry for porn addicts) and a freelance entertainment journalist. Shellie’s second book, Eyes Opened; Legs Closed is slated for spring 2010 release. Two blogs that she’s proud to premiere are “So, How Did You Know?” and “Before You Jump The Broom”. Both are related to marriage and preparation for it.
